Fire Victims’ Resource Center @ Public House

Fire Destroys Riverwest Building

On July 17th, 2012 a 5 alarm fire ripped through a buidling at Center & Fratney.  This building was the home to a number of galleries and artist studios.  Many of whom have now loss much of their work and supplies.

The Riverwest Public House is offering its stage as a drop-off point for food, clothing, artist resources, etc.

Suggested Donations
- non-perishable foods
- clothing
- toiletries (all)
- shoes
- loaner bicycle(s)
- art supplies (any and all)
- cameras
- kitchen supplies
- anything you think will help
- etc.

Additionally, MARN (Milwaukee Artist Resource Network) has set up an emergency fund to support these artists in this difficult time.  You can make a tax deductable donation for these artists here or send a check to:

  1. Not to go off topic, exactly, but it’s Center and Pierce. (You can even see the sign in the picture.) WTMJ is also reporting incorrectly.
