Author Reading July 23 @ 7pm

We’re hosting one out of town author and one local author for a reading and Q&A this Monday at 7pm.

Jason Lee Norman graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s in English Literature. He then received his MA in Creative Writing from the University of Manchester, where he learned to write properly and drink tea and eat biscuits. He now lives, eats, and writes in Edmonton.

His new book ‘Americas’ was released on April 17, 2012.

There are 22 countries in the Americas. There are 22 stories in this book. In Nicaragua they keep their tears in jars. In Honduras, their prayers sound like screams. Guyana has separation anxiety. Welcome to the Americas: 22 stories about 22 countries you thought you knew.

Many of Jason’s other short stories have been published online, including on A-Minor Magazine, Dogzplot, Fwriction Review, Pure Slush, PANK, Trainwrite and Wigleaf.

Robert Vaughan’s plays have been produced in N.Y.C., L.A., S.F., and Milwaukee where he resides. He leads two writing roundtables for Redbird- Redoak Studio. His prose and poetry is published in over 300 literary journals such as Elimae, BlazeVOX , and Necessary Fiction. He is a fiction editor at JMWW magazine, and Thunderclap! Press.
