WINTER CLOTHES DRIVE FOR NEWLY ARRIVED REFUGEES IN MKE:

Could you please donate warm winter clothes for newly arriving refugee families (most originally from Somalia, Burma, and Iraq)? Milwaukee winters can be very difficult for people who are unaccustomed to and unprepared for this type of cold. All donations will be given directly to the clients of Lutheran Social Services: Refugee Resettlement. LSS is in need of all winter clothes –particularly coats– in all sizes, for adults and children (new or used, but in good condition. No broken zippers, missing buttons, or major stains, please). Also accepting warm, clean blankets. There are three drop off points:

1) Riverwest Public House Cooperative – 815 E. Locust St. in Riverwest (M-F 3pm-2am / S&Sn 11am-2am)
2) Classic Slice 2797 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.in Bayview (T-S 11am-Midnight / Sn & M 11am-10pm)
3) Lutheran Social Services: Refugee Resettlement – 5300 W. Lincoln Ave in West Milwaukee (M-F 9am-5pm)

If you have questions, please contact Kelly Todd at 414-325-3185 or kelly.todd@lsswis.org.  If you have a large donation, we can arrange a pick up directly from your house. Tax deduction forms are available upon request. If you would like to help spread the word, here is a link to the flyer: Winter-Clothing-Drive-2014

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!!!
